Final Details for Final Task

Image
Tomorrow my final task is due. My partner and I have been working on the planning, filming and editing for a while. It has taken us a lot of time to come up with the idea, and concept to plan it all out. I hope that our efforts are shown in the film. I would like Cambridge to see the editing details. I would also like for my teachers to see the progress that I have made from the beginning of the year to the end. My partner and I have finished editing t final tasks. We just have to upload it on blogger tomorrow. We are going to download it tonight, in case it decides to take a while. Since we finished editing yesterday we  have been reviewing our final task constantly. Trying to make sure that it is perfect. We show diversity in the film. We show progress. We show hard work, and dedication. This project will count towards half of our Cambridge grade. As I have constantly said in the blogs, it is important we do well. I want to make sure that I get a good grade. I think that e and my par

Extra Editing

Image
Me and my partner have finally finished our final stage of editing. This included the extras, such as voice overs, background music, sound effects, filters (when needed). While my partner was better at putting together the clips. I specialized on the technical editing. For these parts I used iMovie . I began by adding the voiceovers first. Since my partner and   I were in different locations, I had her send me a voice memo of her saying her line in a scene. I then took all her voice memos and imported them into iMovie, and pasted it onto the clip. For myself I was able to add voice overs right over whatever clip I needed. I then moved onto the sound effects. I added noises over certain sounds to add emphasis on a scene.  I added noises when I was hit in the head with a hammer. I added a door knocking noise. I added bird chirping noises from the park. I added wind rustling noises, and so on. I then worked on background music. I added subtle music to whatever scene was going on. When I w

2nd Scene editing

Image
My partner and I have finished editing our second scene. This scene involved the murder of my character. For this scene we had about a total of 3 clips. We did the same steps that we did for the first scene. We reviewed the clips. Then we trimmed each one to make sure there were no extra parts. We then muted every clip. We are going to add voiceovers and sound effects afterwards. Sine my partner specializes on a certain editing app, she cut the clips together. Using CuteCutPro she added them to make it one cohesive scene. I reviewed over her work to ensure that it looked good. I will be the one to help place the voice overs over the clips. I will use iMovie. For the second scene it was much easier than the first one. I think this is because it was also easier to film the second clip. We also had smaller amounts of clips. Less extra second do film. We also didn’t have to edit my brothers noises since he wasn’t in the second scene. When we finished the 2nd scene we pieced it together wi

1st Scene Editing

Image
My partner and I  have edited the 1st scene. We have a total of 4 clips that we filmed for the 1st scene. There were spilt into 2 parts. 3 clips were from me and my son Jackson (my brother) playing in the park. The other clip was me asking Georgia (my partner) to be my godmother. The first thing we did was cut and trim each clip. We made sure that from start to finish there were no unnecessary parts left over. Once each clip was cleaned we muted each one. During the filming process, we reviewed the film and realized it was hard to hear. To fix this issue we decided it would be best to add a voiceover of what we were saying. This would ensure that the audio will be perfect. We will add voiceovers last after the whole film is cut together. My partner and I have different specialties in the editing process. She is going to focus on cleaning and perfecting the clips. I will focus on adding voiceovers, sound effects, and background music. She works best on CuteCutPro. I work bes

2nd Location Filming Blog

We talked about the process at our first filming location. Now I am going to discuss our second filming location. We went to my partner's house. Where we filmed the other half of our opening sequence. We started as soon as we arrived at her house. We had just previously left the park. The lighting no longer mattered because we were filming the rest inside. We checked for or props. All we needed was a hammer and notes My partner supplied that at her house. Next, we did touch-ups. We also did outfit changes. We did this because we wanted to make it seem like it was a different day in the film.  We went over the script for the other two scenes to make sure we had it down pact. Filming at my partner's house was easier than the park. We didn't have to refilm that much. Maybe about 2 or 3 times. Since my brother who played Jackson wasn't in the next two scenes it was much easier. It was more difficult to film at the park with him. He wasn't a problem anymore. After we fi
