Pre-Filming Blog

This is my last pre-filming blog. The next blog that I will write about is when I have filmed. The filming days are still as planned. After spring break March 28-29th. My partner and I are getting excited to film. I have high expectations. But I think it will be interesting to watch it all play out the day of. My partner and I have still been rehearsing our script. We have been trying to see if we have it memorized. So we practice on FaceTime without looking at our scripts. Although I'm excited to film, I have to be focused. In every pre-filming blog, I've talked about the importance of the final task. I don't want to slack or lose sight of how well it is for me to do a good job. This is important in passing my class. I want to go into the filming process with expectations to do really well. I also want to set the project above the rest with the editing. I am confident that my partner wants to do the same. I am confident in our capabilities to pull this off. I believe that Cambridge will be happy with the outcome of our final task as well. This is more of the pre-filing process.

2nd Location Filming Blog

 We talked about the process at our first filming location. Now I am going to discuss our second filming location. We went to my partner's house. Where we filmed the other half of our opening sequence. We started as soon as we arrived at her house. We had just previously left the park. The lighting no longer mattered because we were filming the rest inside. We checked for or props. All we needed was a hammer and notes My partner supplied that at her house. Next, we did touch-ups. We also did outfit changes. We did this because we wanted to make it seem like it was a different day in the film.  We went over the script for the other two scenes to make sure we had it down pact. Filming at my partner's house was easier than the park. We didn't have to refilm that much. Maybe about 2 or 3 times. Genre Research: Get Out

Our second movie choice was Get Out, a film produced in 2017. This thriller movie was based on the idea of racism. Its starts off with an interracial couple named Chris and Rose who are the meet the parents stage. Chris agrees to meet Roses' parents upstate, but is initially hesitant because he is the first black guy she has ever dated. After arriving to Chris notices small details that are out of place. Roses' large family are accompanied by maids and butlers and servants due to them having such wealth. he only issue is that every single one of these workers just so happen to be black. These workers are arranged in the house almost too perfectly, never without a smile, and do everything as their told down to the T. After Chris is at the house long enough he realizes one too many things, but it may be too late for him. Rose reveals her plan that he was just a pawn to become her next family's slave, and with her fathers help, he gets transferred to the sunken place. In this ...
