Filming Blog for My Music Video Part 2
I decided to do a second part for the filming blog to talk about some of the challenges we faced while filming. To start off the weather was as nice as we hoped, and it ended up being really cloudy. It luckily didn't rain. When we went to go film, the park that we intended on going to was closed, due to COVID. The area was nice, and we were able to find patches of grass, that were good to film on. In my planning blog, I mentioned that we may or may not end up bringing props, which we did. We brought a picnic basket, and had paper plates and cups for us to pretend to use. We also brought a blanket for us to sit on. When it came to filming at the park, there were a lot of people, which we expected, but some of them were in the way at first, which made it hard to film. Eventually when it came down to filming, we took the clips pretty quickly, but we had an issue with being concentrated and focused, because we were joking around most of the time. We also made the mistake of not filming all the clips in landscape, so it looked weird in the actual music video. When we got back to my partners house, and filmed the scene where we played Just Dance, the game wasn't working on the TV. We intended on having the camera to where you could see the game on the TV, but that didn't workout. Instead we had the camera just face us the whole time and made up a choreography in which we would be similar to a Just Dance game. Lastly we filmed the last clip of me and my partner doing each other's make up. This was probably one of the hardest POV's for us to film. We added in another prop, which was the lip gloss tube, the blush, and brush. We also used our phones as a prop for the phone scene. We faced many difficulties during the filming process, but it wasn't anything we couldn't overcome. This is another part of my filming blog.
