Title Research: Panic Room

The first scene opens up with Columbia pictures, the production company of the movie which seems to be owned by Sony. The first title displayed is Columbia again. After it shows the name of producers and main people involved with the movie. After comes the title of the movie, which is shown a little longer than the rest. The sound also got louder when it was displayed on the screen. The connotations that the images carry give the audience a sense of what the movie will be about. The background was what seems to be a city. These large titles gave a 3-D feel as well as an overwhelming sense. Since the titles were placed above the large buildings it gave a sense of power. As well as intensity, the music kept getting louder and louder as it went on. The strategies really made it full of mystery. The titles added to the intensity. Almost all the camera angles were shot from a high point of view. Looking down at the people below the buildings. The transitions were clean and the names of the people were bold and easy to read. Yet, they still almost blend in with the background. It was also modern considering that this movie is from 2002. It looks clean and the sound was definitely the part that tied everything together.
